A contemporary judaica artwork inspired by the sound, prayer, and hope of the High Holidays.
The shape of the shofar is created entirely from the Hebrew words לשנה הבאה בירושלים הבנויה- next year in rebuilt Jerusalem. The words themselves become the Shofar, bringing together two powerful symbols of this time of year: the sound that calls us to reflection and teshuva, and the timeless prayer and hope for Jerusalem. Each letter is formed by hand from hundreds of individually cut pieces pf mosaic glass, on resin background, giving the artwork a depth and brilliance that changes as you move around it.
